Triamcinolone is a long-acting glucocorticoid hormone that primarily affects the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. It is often used to treat certain skin diseases, allergies, and rheumatic disorders. In horses, Triamcinolone 2 mg/ml injectable by NexGen is used to treat heaves, recurrent airway obstruction, arthritis, allergic conditions, and dermatologic conditions responsive to glucocorticoids.
