NexGen provides steroid medications (corticosteroids) to address several conditions, including bacterial infections such as escherichia coli, pseudomonas sp., Klebsiella sp., and severe RAO. Our medicines also possess anti-inflammatory properties to assist in less severe cases. When used judiciously and appropriately, corticosteroid medications can be of great benefit to limit many disease processes in the horse. Steroids can also be helpful if equines present skin conditions such as allergic reactions, itching, or other irritations.
