A common use of flunixin in horses includes pain relief in the treatment of colic. Cimetidine is an anti-ulcer medication that works as a histamine H2 receptor antagonist. It is often used to treat equine gastric ulcers, often found in foals and race horses. Flunixin 50 mg/ml / Cimetidine 100 mg/ml by NexGen inhibits the body's production of prostaglandins and other biochemicals that stimulate the inflammatory response.
